Too much to talk about!

There has been quite a bit going on lately. First of all I am posting pictures of the kiddo's when we went to the apple/pumpkin orchard. We had a really nice time. Sissy was the only one who really got into trouble and had to be taken back to the car for a talking too..screaming all the way to the car "noooooo I'll be good, please forgive me Mommy!!! aaahhhhh aaahhhh" Oh it was soooo much fun! ha! Very memorable, and I even have the picture of how happy she was! All in all they had a good time, but we have decided to go back to the apple orchard we went to 3 years ago. It is really nice, although it is the farthest away these 2 we've been to lately just aren't the same. I don't think the kids noticed one bit..it's more for our benefit.

In sports..NASCAR, Jimmie is still in the lead with the most points, and I am really hopping he wins this next race that should ensure that he win the championship...again, that will be his third in a row...wooo-hooo! And the Chicago Bears won Sunday..I seriously did not think they would win, and they were up against a team who hasn't won 7 of their games!!!! Why such a struggle Bears? I am happy to report they won...but it was touch and go! And that is all the sports I actually watch. Well some college football.. only because Honey pie has to watch the Buckeye's, as he is from Ohio.

We celebrated yesterday......NOT for the election, but for Honey-pies birthday. he is now as old as me, but in 19 more days I will again be older. The kiddo's got him a playstation game, while I got him clothes, and my parents got him John Deer things. For his birthday dinner he wanted tater-tot casserole. Not my favorite, which is why he requests it for his birthday cause I don't make it very often. But this time I spiced up the meat the way we like it, and I must say it turned it very good! I also made him a homemade new york style cheesecake from scratch. I have only made a handful of cheesecakes and this one turned out nice and moist, my last one was kind of dry.

We also did some yard work yesterday. Well honey-pie did. I took pictures of the kids jumping in the leaves he was raking up. Honey pie was soooo happy..as were the kids...and when I develop those I will post some!

Well as I mentioned we did not celebrate the newly elected president. We just don't see eye to eye with the man, and by your fruits you are known..be careful with the company you keep. He will be the President of the United States and I know we will pray for Him and the leaders of our country, and I pray we see good changes that are the will of God. Someone once said to me how could we vote for a "republican" when my family is one of the "working poor" and a democratic president would be better for "your family". I guess it just doesn't come down to "money" for me. It comes down to who the man/woman is. If they have some of the same values I do.. and trust me there is plenty on my part of reading between the lines. I feel I go to vote as a well informed voter. We have alot of issues in our family, and sometimes it would seem to be easy to go with the "democratic" side just because of what they can do for me..but then I wouldn't be following what God wanted me to listen too. I can come away with a clean conscience.

Well until next time

A nice time

Well we had a really nice time this weekend. Saturday was a quiet day.. hubby is working Saturdays thru January..so just the kids and I at home. My daughter and I snuggled on the couch and watch Miracle on 34th street, in black and white, and after it was done, she told me she loved that movie and wants to watch it every time it is on..awww. I love Christmas shows, especially old ones..my favorite is White Christmas with Bing Crosby.....anyway... I was "window" shopping on line the other day too...just getting some more idea's for everyone. I think tomorrow I am going in to town and doing some real shopping and putting a few things on lay a way. Oh what fun. After this Saturday Christmas is only 2 months away..we all know how fast 2 months goes by!

Well this weekend we did go to the apple/pumpkin orchard. It was nice enough..but not as nice as the one we went to 2 years ago. Last year we went somewhere different, and it was worse than this one...this place did have a play ground for the kids, and it was free, but it was just a generic play ground....the one we went to 2 years ago, has a play ground you have to pay to get into...mind you you get unlimited pony rides, barrel rides and there is a ton of equipment to play on. Of course prices there have raised from 7 to 10 per child..so not really cheap... so we'll have to wait till next year and see! All they had at this orchard was an outhouse and my little on with autism had to use the bathroom, hubby took him in there (actually 2 times) and my little son said it was yucky...he said NO! So he would not go in there! Poor thing! Hubby said it was pretty bad too..... my son does not like outhouses but has gone in one, so it must have been really bad if he wouldn't go! ha ha. Well hopefully come this weekend I will get my pictures posted on here from there. I hope they turned out cute. My daughter got in trouble while we were there, by walking off on her own after being told not too...then proceeded to throw a fit...so needless to say I had to take her to the car and address the situation.........after addressing it, she was fine for the rest of the afternoon..... so in a couple of her pictures I am sure we will be able to tell she has been crying! We bought some apples there, and they are soooooo good...but I don't remember the kind they were....something susan? Anyway..it was a nice time, my mom went too, and she had my little cousin with her..and I think he enjoyed himself too!

This weekend was also a good weekend for the Bears...yeah! They won! I know they are 4 and 3 and I didn't think that was good, but they are tied for first in the NFC so I guess they are doing better than I thought..it looked to be a good game, I think within 3 points, and we missed it by going to the orchard. We were however listening to the race on the radio...and Jimmie Johnson won! YEAH!!!!! Looks like this could be his third year winning!!! So all in all a good weekend!

Well until next time, and hopefully with pictures to post!

Hello again!

Well for the most part it's been calm around here..thankfully. I am feeling better everyday, however still having problems..I go to the Dr tomorrow and can't wait to see what her suggestion will be! Well we had a really nice fall party this past Saturday..there were several there and it turned out to be a nice day. We had the seed spitting contest and my kids, even my daughter spit her seed pretty far...I think my hubby was proud! ha ha. The kids played a leaf blowing game, where they had to blow a leaf across the table and back with a straw..and hubby played and was proud he beat his 5 year old daughter...ha ha. (sound like a fair match to you?) Here is a suggestion...if you are buying hot dogs for a cookout..don't get turkey hot dogs..... we learned something from this. My Mom purchased these hot dogs, and when the men went to roast them, they wouldn't "plump" up, they would just burn..so everyone was laughing all evening about the hot dogs....and after much discussion, those who complained the most, get to purchase the hot dogs next year..see what you get for complaining? It was all in good fun though.

Well this coming weekend, probably Sunday after church we are going for a drive to an apple orchard, which we have yet to do this season. We're usually much earlier about it, but since I haven't been up to par lately, we have had to put it off. It should be fun..the kids always have a good time. I love taking their pictures in the pumpkin patch, they turn out to be some really cute pictures.

Well 20 more days and counting.......it's nice the news media helps us count down to my hubby's birthday..(well maybe there is something else going on November 4th that's important too...oh yeah the election)..but most of all it's hubby's birthday! So then for 20 day's well be the same age...35........ then I'll be older once again! However speaking of the election...don't forget to get out and vote! I love voting..I love the day after too! Our small town always post how many votes went to what party and it always interests me...our town so far has always been waaaay republican...it's a small farming community..population around 2000. So this year because one of the candidates is from Illinois.... I am just wondering how the vote will go.... I don't see my vote changing just because a candidate if from Illinois. From where I live all the politician's that are from Chicago, stay with Chicago and forget about the rest of Illinois. (even our own Governor..who decided not to live in the State Capital..but instead keep his family in Chicago, thus taking money from our area)...anyway can you tell I am completely happy with our governer? I enjoy politics...but get tired of it after awhile when I see no real changes.... so I am just ready for this election to be completely over...and see what the new president has in store!

We had our women's study last night at church..we are studying on contentment. One would think that we should be content all the time. But after going thru last nights study..I understand why to some degree I am not content all the time. I am content in my home, and with my life, but I am not content to be on this earth forever...nor do I want to be here forever. There is a certain amount of discontent we should have when it comes to being here on this earth..we should be thirsting and longing for our new home with Jesus. I never really saw having discontentment as a positive thing.... don't get me wrong, I still think we should be content most of the time in our lives.....let go of the burdens we are carrying...and let God be God.

Well I will remember that my opinions and beliefs may not be yours...and I know that you are wrong..(just kidding! :) ) I know that we can have differences and still be friends..some of the people I know in my life are complete opposite of my views..but we have mutual respect for one another... and are still able to talk.... amazing huh?

Better every day!

I am really feeling better every day...and my energy is starting to come back...Praise the Lord! I even drove the car the other day for the first time in over 2 weeks...weird! But I really am doing better and am so thankful to the Lord!

Lets see...my parents got a new car the other day, it is a pt cruiser...not my favorite car..but they like it..so that is all that matters. It is bigger than it looks inside...so I am sure they will be happy with it. We are having our annual fall party for church this weekend, although several of our members aren't able to attend..but we have a mess of other people coming and it got to late to change it. I think there will be 3 families from church! Hubby and I are always in charge of games, I don't know if it's cause were the youngest or what, but no one else does it! I changed all the games this year except one...so this year they should have fun. Although one of the games now involves me (before hand) cutting open a pumpkin and roasting the seeds so we can have a seed spitting contest. We can't find actually pumpkin seeds in the store, so more work for me! Then hubby informed me he wanted a fresh pumpkin pie with the other stuff...know what I said? ha ha ha ha ha! The freshest he'll get is from the freezer....Mrs Smith. I am making my chili, and fried apples...and that is it. I'll be doing good to get all that going! If I am really feeling good I may try and make pumpkin bars...but we'll see!

Well the kids should be up soon, off I go!

Better

Felling better today....and actually yesterday I was a little better too. My Mom came over Saturday and helped pick up my house...It started out a bad day for me.. and when she got here all I did was cry...but then I started to feel a little better as I saw my house coming back from the dead. She even got my fall decorations down and started putting them up. What was supposed to be a day of celebration for her birthday...she gave to me. But we did celebrate her birthday that evening. The kids made their Nana a picture each and I put it in a nice picture frame and she really liked it. My hubby even found an icecream she had been looking for since August..so that was a surprise for her too! Then yesterday..(after missing 3 Sundays of church...due to my health issues) she called me and asked if I wanted to go for a ride and I said absolutly. I have been out of the house 1 other time since all of this has been going on..and it was with Tom to go to the grocery store and it was not a pleasant experience for either of us. Sunday with my Mommy was nice..I stayed in the car, she had my little cousin who is 3, so I sat with him while she ran in a couple stores and then we came back home. By then I was tired...that is terrible...but the fresh air and the warm sun felt great! I really feel today is a great day. I am feeling better everyday..and I give God ALL the PRAISE!!!!!

I posted a picture of my Grandma and I, it was taken 2 years ago this Christmas...she has been gone a little over a year now, and I have been thinking about her lately. She was my last living Grandparent...she was a special lady....my kids talk about her alot...they sleep with quilts she made them...and it just reminds me of her all the time. But I know she's with Jesus!

Well lets see..

Well lets see what has been going on lately!? Without going into too much detail, I have been at home for almost 2 weeks now..with something medical that is going on with me. I am emotionally and physically worn out... and some days actually depressed. I have been in contact with my Dr 3x's and they say to let it work itself out naturally..well my life if still going on and I don't have time for naturally..but I keep telling God, if this is how it's got to be, then give me the grace to get thru it. I know that surgery can eradicate what is going on..but I haven't wanted to go that route.... but I am making all kinds of promises now.... I was reading Job the past day or so, and it is wonderfully amazing to me that he never cursed God.... there are days when I am just so on edge emotionally, that I know God is seeing me thru. Anyway....enough about it...life goes on, and one day it will all be taken care of...it's just where I am today..but not tomorrow!

The kids, hubby and I are doing well...My Dad is healing nicely from his surgery and is now back to work... and tomorrow is my Mommy's birthday Although due to my minor problem, I haven't been able to shop for a gift... but everything will be great. The kiddo's are still sleeping, must be nice to sleep! For those of you who don't know.. I am a football fan and NASCAR fan.. and I am so happy to report that the Bears won their game last Sunday...I thought it would be another loss but yaa-hoo! Then I found out my driver #48 Jimmie is tied for 2cnd in points in NASCAR.... again I say yaa-hooo!!! So all in all a good weekend!

While I was sitting her my phone just rang and my Dr called and wants me to come in and see her in a couple of weeks to discuss what is going on. Oh happy Day...I know it is leading to surgery! ( I think for the most part I am willing!)

Well gotta go...kids are getting up now so no time to be on here! Until next time!

That long?!

Well I guess it has been awhile since my last post...that is if your coming back here looking for something interesting to read. That is not the case here! I am posting my 2 youngest children's pictures.. I posted my oldest one around his bday..so now they are all three on here.

We have been keeping busy though..with three kids, who wouldn't be. Hubby is working, and I am at home with those great lovable children! We have started back with school this year. (homeschool). They are in 2cnd, 1st and kindergarten. Let me tell you there is nothing like trying to do them all! (and one with autism to boot!) But I am sure that we will yet get a system out that works for all of us! (well that is what I pray every day!)

This past week my Daddi-o had neck surgery for his spinal cord and back. Not as severe as my Mom's was last year, but none the same, surgery. It was not a pleasant experience, and we will be speaking to the higher-ups over what happened. They over-dosed my Dad and about lost him, they had to give him some meds to counter-act the overdose, and after they brought him back, they finally called his Dr. but only after the fact. There were several other issues with the nurses, but needless to say they are very dissatisfied. My Mommy kept saying all she wanted to do was get out of there, and take him home to care for him herself. It's pretty sad that he had to call my Mommy to come and sit with him because he was scared of the nurses and their abilities. Well enough of that, it is still new and fresh and raw..so I might say something I shouldn't..so on I will go!

We had our annual town parade..they call it Harvest Fest. Vendors are set up around our town square and of course the parade. I won't go on and on about it either, as it was just ok...but the kids seemed to enjoy themselves and that is what matters...I liked the company and I will leave it at that.

It seems as though I am still getting ready for Christmas..I just ordered 4 things for hubby yesterday...but his bday is the month before, so who knows, he may get some of it for his bday. My mommy is finished with the grand kids..well she says she has one or two things left and then she's done! I have several on my list crossed off as well. That is a praise! The kids keep seeing magazines coming in the mail full of childrens toys and keep on changing their minds as to what they want! (I can't believe I am getting Christmas magazines already!)

Well that is pretty much it for here.....sounds exciting huh? I posted a picture of all of us too..whoo-whoo! Hopefully it won't be too long in between, but we have alot going on in the next few months! c-ya!

ooops....almost forgot to name this one!

Well a week has gone by and I am even more exhausted then I was last weekend, or rather, I don't think I have caught up on anything remotely looking like relaxation this past week. Maybe next weekend...... Well actually we are taking the kids to see the new movie Wall-E. With the support group that we are in (for children/families with autism) they have a free movie event, where children and their families are invited to watch a movie for free. We have planned on going to 2 0r 3 other movie events that have passed, and never got to go, due to weather or sickness, so we are really looking forward to going to this one! Honey-pie is one of the chapter board members so he is supposed to work the table at the theater... hopeful he will get to, if he doesn't have to work! The kids at the theater tend to be a little louder, and they don't turn the lights all the way down, and they turn the volume of the movie down a little bit. My son has never been to a movie theater before, because we never knew how he would react due to these things, so it is nice to be able to try it for free first. He has however been to our local drive-in theater, where we hope to go again this summer! So as far as relaxing next Saturday, well maybe after the movie, we'll see! I haven't gotten any of my pictures from my son's birthday developed yet, but I hope to soon. For the fourth we were out at our camper, and we had a great time....the campground put on a great display of fireworks! We were all really impressed with them. Our small town must have decided not to do fireworks right now, but they are doing them at our county fair later this month...wooo-hooo. I am being sarcastic....If they can have them at our fair why not for the 4th? I am sure that it is something to do with money and all that stuff...what isn't anymore!? Well on to something else! Ok, now don't laugh, but I have already started Christmas shopping. It's just a little over 5 months away. And with 3 little ones to buy for, I can't afford to wait till the last minute! I actually start buying Christmas presents the day after Christmas for the following year, and I buy and plan all year long. Some people just laugh,,,but hey, you do what you got to do! Sometimes the bargains I get in the summer are well, well worth it! Although I usually forget all that I have as I start going thru everything! And then I think, why did I get soooo much! My honey-pie says the same thing! He thinks we should limit them to 5 or 6 presents a piece, which is a good number, but that is still 15/18 presents, plus presents from other family and friends! It does get to be alot! Well, enough about Christmas...... it is still summer after all, although from our weather one probably wouldn't know it! We have been inundated with more rain this weekend...not the drizzle type, but the torrential down pour kind. I drove today on a road I drive often and there was water on the roadway's everywhere. One house in a town next to ours got flooded due to the water in the road way...how awful. I am sure they never thought they would need flood insurance. Our river is on the rise again, and I pray it goes down as quickly as it has come up! Well I am in need of a good nights rest so I will say adieu! Talk to ya later!

Wednesday, July 2, 2008

Looks like I've been busy..well not too busy!

One might think that I have been too busy to blog since it has been a couple of weeks..not really all that busy! Truth be told, my computer chair broke, and we haven't gotten a new one yet, so I am sitting on a kitchen chair, and it is hurting my neck to reach down, so in all honesty I haven't wanted to take the time to update anything! But I know so many people are interested in what is going on in my families life... so I thought I better catch everyone up! Fathers Day was great for all....we ended up having dinner at the camper, and it was nice. Here is a picture of my Daddi-o. One of him in his natural state, the other just him! You decide which is which!

Anyway, it was a really nice time. Right now I seem to have lost my Father's Day pictures, but if I find them I will post one of my honey-pie and my kiddo's. But here are a few of the kids I took outside.... they are getting too big! But I guess that's what they're supposed to do!

Well your in luck, I found the ones of my honey-pie, and one with me and my Daddi-o too. So here they are

Well I think that is all I really wanted to accomplish, and believe me this took me over an hour to do.. I have dial up...oh yes, I enjoy country living! Well I hope everyone has a great 4th! Today is my little boy's birthday...my middle one. He turned 7 today..so we will be celebrating with cake and ice cream later. Then on the 4th he wants to go to chuck-e-cheese. Oh HAPPY DAY! Have a great one all!

Thursday, June 12, 2008

Well, it's been a week and one would think I should have a lot to say..well I don't think I do, so maybe I will just ramble a little while and things will come to me! This past weekend was rather nice.. my parents kept my three blessings for the evening Sunday night.... and my wonderful Father gave my husband and I money to go out to dinner with... we went to Cracker Barrel. I am sure you are thinking of all the places to go eat, why there? Well simply because we like it, and we don't get to go very often. Our Cracker Barrel is on the outside of town, and it is not a place we think of going to very often...so sometimes it is nice to go and with out any children tagging along in the gift shop area I am able to actually look at things. ha ha. We also went swimming Saturday at our campground...it was sooooooo COLD! After awhile it was still cold... and at the end of an hour the kids teeth were finally chattering. But did they want to get out? NO! We told them we could get ice cream...so we sat on the picnic bench eating ice cream...it was hot outside, just not in the pool! But the kids had a great time. I got my son's picture taken this week. He turned 8 this year....
He is growing up way too fast for me! Another 10 years, and then he'll be all grown up! Time goes by too fast some days!

Well this weekend is Fathers Day, and it should be a nice weekend. My Honeypie and my Daddi-o are taking the day Saturday and having a men's day. They are going to their men's bible study/breakfast in the morning, and it sounds like my Daddi-o picked going to eat lunch at a restaurant where there are go-carts. I am sure they will have a fun time! I am very blessed the my honey-pie shares a great relationship with my Dadddi-o. My honey-pie's own Father passed away over 8 years ago.

Well I also received some pictures of my sister.. she went to New Zealand recently. so I thought I would post one of her on here too. It looks like such a beautiful place!

Well I hope this weekend is a wonderful weekend. The weather report looks promising! No more rain for a few days! Have a great one!

Tired....but hey....

Ok, I am now ready for fall. I think that is the only time of year where I like the weather. Nothing too cold, nor to hot. No snow, no storms. Just nice weather. We have been inundated with rain, rain, and more rain, with some really nice storms. We were without power for a day and a half... I heard thru the grapevine (in our small town) that a truck hit a utility pole, and that took out several other poles...wiping out electricity for several communities. And there's nothing like the electric being out when it is nice and hot outside! I am being sarcastic. On a positive note, my parents took us all out to dinner last night. We went to a local restaurant named Perkins. (for those of you in the QC, it is like the Village Inn, those not in the QC, it is a high class Denny's). They have Tuesday night kids eat free, and they had a clown there making balloon things for the kids. The boys got swords made, and sissy got a pink hat with a heart on it.. she calls it a crown. The food was really good too.. I had a nice piece of salmon with pasta in a white sauce with dill and tomato.. my plate was shared with sissy and my honeypie and my Daddi-o tried it too. Anyway, that was the best part of the day yesterday, just spending time with my family... it is nice sometimes when the electricity goes out, you get to do fun things like that when it's least expected! But as for the rest of the night.... we ended up staying at my parents house, due to the severity of the storms..... we had tornado warnings until 2 am.. and they have a basement, so we packed up some stuff and went over there. There's nothing like being family in the dark. The kids are allowed to be a little more hyper, everyone stays up a little later.....and everyone sweats together! All in all I am thankful that no tornado's came thru our area.... and my family is all safe. I will just remain tired today. but hey, there is always tomorrow when I can sleep!

It's me again!

Well after someone, who again shall remain nameless, told me I needed to get a new blog on here, I decided I had enough pestering, so here it is, a new blog. It's not as though she doesn't know everything already going on in my life, it is sooo exciting. But maybe I can take a stab at enlightening those of you who actually read my blog, and don't already know what's new. Here goes... absolutely nothing is new! That's pretty much it. Well.... there may be a couple of things ms. nameless might not know. I am babysitting over the summer. Oh yeah!! I sorta agreed cause they are kinda family by marriage, and so the little boy is my oldest son's age, and a good kid, so I am hopping things go well this summer. I pretty much have enough on my plate, so I really had to strongly consider babysitting....so now I have to get up early every morning...YUCK! I am used to sleeping till 8 or 9 am. Now up by 6:30. No wonder I am going to bed earlier now. I haven't seen 1 am in awhile now! Well let's see, what else is new? Oh I know, my parents bought a camper, and it is at a campground in the town we live in, and last weekend just the kids and my honeypie and I went camping. We had a really nice time. I want the camp time to be special to my kids. When I look back at the times I went camping, I always remember them as really fun times. So for the first time in my son's life, who is 8, and my little girl 4, they got to have their first soda. (it was only one of those half can's) they thought it was really something, and they didn't even drink the whole can! My other son and I played "Don't break the ice" at the kitchen table, everyday! And we made smores, and just played. It was really fun, and I hope now when they are older and look back on their camping experience they can say how fun it was for them too!

Well maybe I have one more thing... I got my hair cut last night. Ms. nameless doesn't know this either. I got it cut shorter than I have had it my whole life...well with one exception, ( I had it all cut off in 9th grade) but for me know, it is pretty short, but still long enough to put in a ponytail. ( I need that security blanket). I am really happy with it. Now I jsut need to put some color on it this weekend, to cover the grey! ha! Well I think that is really all there is to tell! This weekend looks to be a nice weekend..relaxing Saturday, and Sunday I think we are going to have my Dad a surprise birthday party. He turns 58 on Monday, but we are going to give him a party on Sunday after church and surprise him. It should be fun! Well that's ALLLLL that is going on in my little world! I will post another blog when there is more going on again!

Another Weekend Ahead.....

Here it is, another weekend gone by with next week already filling up. No wonder a weekend isn't relaxing anymore... we're always preparing for the next week instead of relaxing from the one we just had. Oh well, such is life. However today my honey pie and I decided that we are doing nothing today... absolutely nothing. He went to church this am, with only one of our children, while I am home with the other two.. and we decided that we are having left overs and just sitting here watching Raiders of the Lost Ark movies all afternoon. So, what started us by saying we are staying home and doing nothing all day today? Well..... Friday night we went in town and got groceries.. which I hardly ever do on a Friday night.. because it's just plain tooooo busy..we got home by 7 ish. Awhile later my Mom called, she just got bit by a nat. She is allergic to them, her whole eye swelled shut.. I took her to the emergency room, and we left there around 11:30 pm. (she's doing better now after 2 shots, and going on prednisone! but still swollen!) OF course we were to have company over Saturday, which involved cleaning the house and getting some food ready.. due to the lateness of getting home Friday night, none of that got done, so I spent the morning Saturday doing that, while honey pie was cleaning outside, and doing odd jobs for my Mom, who could only see with one eye. And of course things weren't complete by the time company showed up... but things went well...so now here it is Sunday.... a day to finally relax.... but I thought that was what the whole weekend was supposed to be about.... well there's always next weekend... and hey, isn't next weekend Memorial Day weekend.. with a extra day off? Ohhh let the relaxation begin now! (I included the picture of my Mom at the e.r., I am sure she would be soooo happy about it!) Ta-Ta for now!

It's all over, but it was great!

It's all over, but it was a wonderful weekend. My Mom and I celebrated Mother's Day Saturday. We went to the mall and got candels and bath stuff. We got a coffee at Gloria Jeans, left the mall and went to a clothing store and got a couple new outfits, then we went to lunch at Olive Garden, and then we finally did it...we went and got our nails done. Both of us for the first time. My Mom only got a french manicure, she didnt' have them do anything else. I decided to get tips, and I couldn't be happier. I guess I will be going back in a week or two to have them filled in, but I really like them. We had such a wonderful day. Then of course yesterday being Mothers day, after church we went out to eat, again. We normally don't go out to eat on Mother's Day, just because to me it isn't enjoyable to fight the crowd, this was the first and hopefully last time we go out! But we did have a nice time. My oldest son got me a rose, as did my daughter, and my middle son got me a locket that said Mom on it. My kids are at the age now where they can reasonably say what they want to get other's for gifts, and I think it was awesome what they picked out. Especially for my middle son, he is the one with autism, and he said a necklace. I will treasure it forever. Yes it simply was a wonderful day. Ta-Ta for now!

One Day Closer....

Here it is, one day closer.. one day closer to that wonderful day. Yes Mother's Day, however today my Mom and I are going to spend the day together. We talked about getting our nails done, going to lunch at Olive Garden and going to some of our favorite stores, like the Yankee Candle store and Bath and Body, and a few others. I am looking forward too it. It isn't often my Mom and I get to go somewhere without my kids going along, which always includes McDonalds and then carousel rides at the mall.. however not today! Don't get me wrong, I cherish this time in my children's lives, I absolutely love them! I love watching them grow and learn, and grow and learn, I love watching the first time I teach them something and their eyes get big and then they get it, it is awesome. I love over hearing their conversations to each other when they say "Your my best friend sissy" or "Noooooo Don't tell Mommy". I love being the center of their lives, because I too realize one day I won't be, but for now I am, and I couldn't be happier. That is why today, I want my Mom to be the center of my life. I just want to enjoy the day with her, and see her laugh and smile, and as we learn something new today.. (what it's like to get our nails done), she'll see what I see in my kids. Today I am her kid. Well Happy Mothers day! Oh yeah, to nameless...... so glad to see you have finally written another blog about your phone, and your dinner, you did however fail to mention that you missed the funniest Survivor ever, and were filled in about it from a wonderful friend.... I'll await your response! Ta-Ta for now!

Another day, another blog

Ok, here it is..my second blog. I am trying to keep up with the party who shall remain nameless. I mean she got me to do this, and she has only blogged a few times in over a week? I know she has more to say than that. She hasn't even told everyone she found her phone yet, which she told everyone she lost.... Well as for my household, we are all up and my honey pie is fixing breakfast for the kiddo's. Aaahh I love Mothers Day. I make it last all weekend. I think really it should be a month long celebration.. ha ha. Just kidding, cause then we'd have to make Fathers Day just as long, and I don't have time for that. Well I guess I should go and help my honey pie... as my son is yelling at him and vice versa. (my son with autism) He likes things to go a certain way, and of course Dad( honey pie) doesn't seem to be able to make that happen for him. To him it's like putting the cart before the horses, so his day starts bad if he doesn't get to turn on the kitchen light, or make his toast dark brown (burnt), and a list of many other things you have to get right to avoid a meltdown. It's ok with me, cause I know how to avoid those.. that honey pie of mine only does it once or twice a week and doesn't remember how to do everything... God love him! Hope your really enjoying my blog.. as I said my life is just great for me, but could be a little boring for others!

My firt Blog.. because I was made too......

Yes this is my first blog, because a certain friend whom shall remain nameless.. made me get a blog so I could comment on her blog. She thinks I have all the time in the world, what with being a stay at home wife and mother and I homeschool my 3 children, one of them has autism, which doesn't ever keep me busy.. ha! But for her, here I am. Don't know how many blogs I will ever get to posting, but for now I will have one blog. Don't know that anyone will want to read about what a boring life I live, but hey, feel free. To me not boring, to others..well if 3 kids and being a stay at home/homeschooling Mom doesn't interest you, then you are reading the wrong blog. Ta-Ta for now! D
