Too much to talk about!
In sports..NASCAR, Jimmie is still in the lead with the most points, and I am really hopping he wins this next race that should ensure that he win the championship...again, that will be his third in a row...wooo-hooo! And the Chicago Bears won Sunday..I seriously did not think they would win, and they were up against a team who hasn't won 7 of their games!!!! Why such a struggle Bears? I am happy to report they won...but it was touch and go! And that is all the sports I actually watch. Well some college football.. only because Honey pie has to watch the Buckeye's, as he is from Ohio.
We celebrated yesterday......NOT for the election, but for Honey-pies birthday. he is now as old as me, but in 19 more days I will again be older. The kiddo's got him a playstation game, while I got him clothes, and my parents got him John Deer things. For his birthday dinner he wanted tater-tot casserole. Not my favorite, which is why he requests it for his birthday cause I don't make it very often. But this time I spiced up the meat the way we like it, and I must say it turned it very good! I also made him a homemade new york style cheesecake from scratch. I have only made a handful of cheesecakes and this one turned out nice and moist, my last one was kind of dry.
We also did some yard work yesterday. Well honey-pie did. I took pictures of the kids jumping in the leaves he was raking up. Honey pie was soooo happy..as were the kids...and when I develop those I will post some!
Well as I mentioned we did not celebrate the newly elected president. We just don't see eye to eye with the man, and by your fruits you are known..be careful with the company you keep. He will be the President of the United States and I know we will pray for Him and the leaders of our country, and I pray we see good changes that are the will of God. Someone once said to me how could we vote for a "republican" when my family is one of the "working poor" and a democratic president would be better for "your family". I guess it just doesn't come down to "money" for me. It comes down to who the man/woman is. If they have some of the same values I do.. and trust me there is plenty on my part of reading between the lines. I feel I go to vote as a well informed voter. We have alot of issues in our family, and sometimes it would seem to be easy to go with the "democratic" side just because of what they can do for me..but then I wouldn't be following what God wanted me to listen too. I can come away with a clean conscience.
Well until next time

A nice time
Well this weekend we did go to the apple/pumpkin orchard. It was nice enough..but not as nice as the one we went to 2 years ago. Last year we went somewhere different, and it was worse than this one...this place did have a play ground for the kids, and it was free, but it was just a generic play ground....the one we went to 2 years ago, has a play ground you have to pay to get into...mind you you get unlimited pony rides, barrel rides and there is a ton of equipment to play on. Of course prices there have raised from 7 to 10 per child..so not really cheap... so we'll have to wait till next year and see! All they had at this orchard was an outhouse and my little on with autism had to use the bathroom, hubby took him in there (actually 2 times) and my little son said it was yucky...he said NO! So he would not go in there! Poor thing! Hubby said it was pretty bad too..... my son does not like outhouses but has gone in one, so it must have been really bad if he wouldn't go! ha ha. Well hopefully come this weekend I will get my pictures posted on here from there. I hope they turned out cute. My daughter got in trouble while we were there, by walking off on her own after being told not too...then proceeded to throw a fit...so needless to say I had to take her to the car and address the situation.........after addressing it, she was fine for the rest of the afternoon..... so in a couple of her pictures I am sure we will be able to tell she has been crying! We bought some apples there, and they are soooooo good...but I don't remember the kind they were....something susan? Anyway..it was a nice time, my mom went too, and she had my little cousin with her..and I think he enjoyed himself too!
This weekend was also a good weekend for the Bears...yeah! They won! I know they are 4 and 3 and I didn't think that was good, but they are tied for first in the NFC so I guess they are doing better than I thought..it looked to be a good game, I think within 3 points, and we missed it by going to the orchard. We were however listening to the race on the radio...and Jimmie Johnson won! YEAH!!!!! Looks like this could be his third year winning!!! So all in all a good weekend!
Well until next time, and hopefully with pictures to post!

Hello again!
Well this coming weekend, probably Sunday after church we are going for a drive to an apple orchard, which we have yet to do this season. We're usually much earlier about it, but since I haven't been up to par lately, we have had to put it off. It should be fun..the kids always have a good time. I love taking their pictures in the pumpkin patch, they turn out to be some really cute pictures.
Well 20 more days and counting.......it's nice the news media helps us count down to my hubby's birthday..(well maybe there is something else going on November 4th that's important too...oh yeah the election)..but most of all it's hubby's birthday! So then for 20 day's well be the same age...35........ then I'll be older once again! However speaking of the election...don't forget to get out and vote! I love voting..I love the day after too! Our small town always post how many votes went to what party and it always interests me...our town so far has always been waaaay republican...it's a small farming community..population around 2000. So this year because one of the candidates is from Illinois.... I am just wondering how the vote will go.... I don't see my vote changing just because a candidate if from Illinois. From where I live all the politician's that are from Chicago, stay with Chicago and forget about the rest of Illinois. (even our own Governor..who decided not to live in the State Capital..but instead keep his family in Chicago, thus taking money from our area)...anyway can you tell I am completely happy with our governer? I enjoy politics...but get tired of it after awhile when I see no real changes.... so I am just ready for this election to be completely over...and see what the new president has in store!
We had our women's study last night at church..we are studying on contentment. One would think that we should be content all the time. But after going thru last nights study..I understand why to some degree I am not content all the time. I am content in my home, and with my life, but I am not content to be on this earth forever...nor do I want to be here forever. There is a certain amount of discontent we should have when it comes to being here on this earth..we should be thirsting and longing for our new home with Jesus. I never really saw having discontentment as a positive thing.... don't get me wrong, I still think we should be content most of the time in our lives.....let go of the burdens we are carrying...and let God be God.
Well I will remember that my opinions and beliefs may not be yours...and I know that you are wrong..(just kidding! :) ) I know that we can have differences and still be friends..some of the people I know in my life are complete opposite of my views..but we have mutual respect for one another... and are still able to talk.... amazing huh?

Better every day!
Lets see...my parents got a new car the other day, it is a pt cruiser...not my favorite car..but they like it..so that is all that matters. It is bigger than it looks inside...so I am sure they will be happy with it. We are having our annual fall party for church this weekend, although several of our members aren't able to attend..but we have a mess of other people coming and it got to late to change it. I think there will be 3 families from church! Hubby and I are always in charge of games, I don't know if it's cause were the youngest or what, but no one else does it! I changed all the games this year except one...so this year they should have fun. Although one of the games now involves me (before hand) cutting open a pumpkin and roasting the seeds so we can have a seed spitting contest. We can't find actually pumpkin seeds in the store, so more work for me! Then hubby informed me he wanted a fresh pumpkin pie with the other stuff...know what I said? ha ha ha ha ha! The freshest he'll get is from the freezer....Mrs Smith. I am making my chili, and fried apples...and that is it. I'll be doing good to get all that going! If I am really feeling good I may try and make pumpkin bars...but we'll see!
Well the kids should be up soon, off I go!

Well lets see..

We have been keeping busy though..with three kids, who wouldn't be. Hubby is working, and I am at home with those great lovable children! We have started back with school this year. (homeschool). They are in 2cnd, 1st and kindergarten. Let me tell you there is nothing like trying to do them all! (and one with autism to boot!) But I am sure that we will yet get a system out that works for all of us! (well that is what I pray every day!)
This past week my Daddi-o had neck surgery for his spinal cord and back. Not as severe as my Mom's was last year, but none the same, surgery. It was not a pleasant experience, and we will be speaking to the higher-ups over what happened. They over-dosed my Dad and about lost him, they had to give him some meds to counter-act the overdose, and after they brought him back, they finally called his Dr. but only after the fact. There were several other issues with the nurses, but needless to say they are very dissatisfied. My Mommy kept saying all she wanted to do was get out of there, and take him home to care for him herself. It's pretty sad that he had to call my Mommy to come and sit with him because he was scared of the nurses and their abilities. Well enough of that, it is still new and fresh and raw..so I might say something I shouldn't..so on I will go!
We had our annual town parade..they call it Harvest Fest. Vendors are set up around our town square and of course the parade. I won't go on and on about it either, as it was just ok...but the kids seemed to enjoy themselves and that is what matters...I liked the company and I will leave it at that.
It seems as though I am still getting ready for Christmas..I just ordered 4 things for hubby yesterday...but his bday is the month before, so who knows, he may get some of it for his bday. My mommy is finished with the grand kids..well she says she has one or two things left and then she's done! I have several on my list crossed off as well. That is a praise! The kids keep seeing magazines coming in the mail full of childrens toys and keep on changing their minds as to what they want! (I can't believe I am getting Christmas magazines already!)
Well that is pretty much it for here.....sounds exciting huh? I posted a picture of all of us too..whoo-whoo! Hopefully it won't be too long in between, but we have alot going on in the next few months! c-ya!
