Too much to talk about!

There has been quite a bit going on lately. First of all I am posting pictures of the kiddo's when we went to the apple/pumpkin orchard. We had a really nice time. Sissy was the only one who really got into trouble and had to be taken back to the car for a talking too..screaming all the way to the car "noooooo I'll be good, please forgive me Mommy!!! aaahhhhh aaahhhh" Oh it was soooo much fun! ha! Very memorable, and I even have the picture of how happy she was! All in all they had a good time, but we have decided to go back to the apple orchard we went to 3 years ago. It is really nice, although it is the farthest away these 2 we've been to lately just aren't the same. I don't think the kids noticed one bit..it's more for our benefit.

In sports..NASCAR, Jimmie is still in the lead with the most points, and I am really hopping he wins this next race that should ensure that he win the championship...again, that will be his third in a row...wooo-hooo! And the Chicago Bears won Sunday..I seriously did not think they would win, and they were up against a team who hasn't won 7 of their games!!!! Why such a struggle Bears? I am happy to report they won...but it was touch and go! And that is all the sports I actually watch. Well some college football.. only because Honey pie has to watch the Buckeye's, as he is from Ohio.

We celebrated yesterday......NOT for the election, but for Honey-pies birthday. he is now as old as me, but in 19 more days I will again be older. The kiddo's got him a playstation game, while I got him clothes, and my parents got him John Deer things. For his birthday dinner he wanted tater-tot casserole. Not my favorite, which is why he requests it for his birthday cause I don't make it very often. But this time I spiced up the meat the way we like it, and I must say it turned it very good! I also made him a homemade new york style cheesecake from scratch. I have only made a handful of cheesecakes and this one turned out nice and moist, my last one was kind of dry.

We also did some yard work yesterday. Well honey-pie did. I took pictures of the kids jumping in the leaves he was raking up. Honey pie was soooo happy..as were the kids...and when I develop those I will post some!

Well as I mentioned we did not celebrate the newly elected president. We just don't see eye to eye with the man, and by your fruits you are known..be careful with the company you keep. He will be the President of the United States and I know we will pray for Him and the leaders of our country, and I pray we see good changes that are the will of God. Someone once said to me how could we vote for a "republican" when my family is one of the "working poor" and a democratic president would be better for "your family". I guess it just doesn't come down to "money" for me. It comes down to who the man/woman is. If they have some of the same values I do.. and trust me there is plenty on my part of reading between the lines. I feel I go to vote as a well informed voter. We have alot of issues in our family, and sometimes it would seem to be easy to go with the "democratic" side just because of what they can do for me..but then I wouldn't be following what God wanted me to listen too. I can come away with a clean conscience.

Well until next time

A nice time

Well we had a really nice time this weekend. Saturday was a quiet day.. hubby is working Saturdays thru January..so just the kids and I at home. My daughter and I snuggled on the couch and watch Miracle on 34th street, in black and white, and after it was done, she told me she loved that movie and wants to watch it every time it is on..awww. I love Christmas shows, especially old ones..my favorite is White Christmas with Bing Crosby.....anyway... I was "window" shopping on line the other day too...just getting some more idea's for everyone. I think tomorrow I am going in to town and doing some real shopping and putting a few things on lay a way. Oh what fun. After this Saturday Christmas is only 2 months away..we all know how fast 2 months goes by!

Well this weekend we did go to the apple/pumpkin orchard. It was nice enough..but not as nice as the one we went to 2 years ago. Last year we went somewhere different, and it was worse than this one...this place did have a play ground for the kids, and it was free, but it was just a generic play ground....the one we went to 2 years ago, has a play ground you have to pay to get into...mind you you get unlimited pony rides, barrel rides and there is a ton of equipment to play on. Of course prices there have raised from 7 to 10 per child..so not really cheap... so we'll have to wait till next year and see! All they had at this orchard was an outhouse and my little on with autism had to use the bathroom, hubby took him in there (actually 2 times) and my little son said it was yucky...he said NO! So he would not go in there! Poor thing! Hubby said it was pretty bad too..... my son does not like outhouses but has gone in one, so it must have been really bad if he wouldn't go! ha ha. Well hopefully come this weekend I will get my pictures posted on here from there. I hope they turned out cute. My daughter got in trouble while we were there, by walking off on her own after being told not too...then proceeded to throw a fit...so needless to say I had to take her to the car and address the situation.........after addressing it, she was fine for the rest of the afternoon..... so in a couple of her pictures I am sure we will be able to tell she has been crying! We bought some apples there, and they are soooooo good...but I don't remember the kind they were....something susan? Anyway..it was a nice time, my mom went too, and she had my little cousin with her..and I think he enjoyed himself too!

This weekend was also a good weekend for the Bears...yeah! They won! I know they are 4 and 3 and I didn't think that was good, but they are tied for first in the NFC so I guess they are doing better than I thought..it looked to be a good game, I think within 3 points, and we missed it by going to the orchard. We were however listening to the race on the radio...and Jimmie Johnson won! YEAH!!!!! Looks like this could be his third year winning!!! So all in all a good weekend!

Well until next time, and hopefully with pictures to post!

Hello again!

Well for the most part it's been calm around here..thankfully. I am feeling better everyday, however still having problems..I go to the Dr tomorrow and can't wait to see what her suggestion will be! Well we had a really nice fall party this past Saturday..there were several there and it turned out to be a nice day. We had the seed spitting contest and my kids, even my daughter spit her seed pretty far...I think my hubby was proud! ha ha. The kids played a leaf blowing game, where they had to blow a leaf across the table and back with a straw..and hubby played and was proud he beat his 5 year old daughter...ha ha. (sound like a fair match to you?) Here is a suggestion...if you are buying hot dogs for a cookout..don't get turkey hot dogs..... we learned something from this. My Mom purchased these hot dogs, and when the men went to roast them, they wouldn't "plump" up, they would just burn..so everyone was laughing all evening about the hot dogs....and after much discussion, those who complained the most, get to purchase the hot dogs next year..see what you get for complaining? It was all in good fun though.

Well this coming weekend, probably Sunday after church we are going for a drive to an apple orchard, which we have yet to do this season. We're usually much earlier about it, but since I haven't been up to par lately, we have had to put it off. It should be fun..the kids always have a good time. I love taking their pictures in the pumpkin patch, they turn out to be some really cute pictures.

Well 20 more days and counting.......it's nice the news media helps us count down to my hubby's birthday..(well maybe there is something else going on November 4th that's important too...oh yeah the election)..but most of all it's hubby's birthday! So then for 20 day's well be the same age...35........ then I'll be older once again! However speaking of the election...don't forget to get out and vote! I love voting..I love the day after too! Our small town always post how many votes went to what party and it always interests me...our town so far has always been waaaay republican...it's a small farming community..population around 2000. So this year because one of the candidates is from Illinois.... I am just wondering how the vote will go.... I don't see my vote changing just because a candidate if from Illinois. From where I live all the politician's that are from Chicago, stay with Chicago and forget about the rest of Illinois. (even our own Governor..who decided not to live in the State Capital..but instead keep his family in Chicago, thus taking money from our area)...anyway can you tell I am completely happy with our governer? I enjoy politics...but get tired of it after awhile when I see no real changes.... so I am just ready for this election to be completely over...and see what the new president has in store!

We had our women's study last night at church..we are studying on contentment. One would think that we should be content all the time. But after going thru last nights study..I understand why to some degree I am not content all the time. I am content in my home, and with my life, but I am not content to be on this earth forever...nor do I want to be here forever. There is a certain amount of discontent we should have when it comes to being here on this earth..we should be thirsting and longing for our new home with Jesus. I never really saw having discontentment as a positive thing.... don't get me wrong, I still think we should be content most of the time in our lives.....let go of the burdens we are carrying...and let God be God.

Well I will remember that my opinions and beliefs may not be yours...and I know that you are wrong..(just kidding! :) ) I know that we can have differences and still be friends..some of the people I know in my life are complete opposite of my views..but we have mutual respect for one another... and are still able to talk.... amazing huh?

Better every day!

I am really feeling better every day...and my energy is starting to come back...Praise the Lord! I even drove the car the other day for the first time in over 2 weeks...weird! But I really am doing better and am so thankful to the Lord!

Lets see...my parents got a new car the other day, it is a pt cruiser...not my favorite car..but they like it..so that is all that matters. It is bigger than it looks inside...so I am sure they will be happy with it. We are having our annual fall party for church this weekend, although several of our members aren't able to attend..but we have a mess of other people coming and it got to late to change it. I think there will be 3 families from church! Hubby and I are always in charge of games, I don't know if it's cause were the youngest or what, but no one else does it! I changed all the games this year except one...so this year they should have fun. Although one of the games now involves me (before hand) cutting open a pumpkin and roasting the seeds so we can have a seed spitting contest. We can't find actually pumpkin seeds in the store, so more work for me! Then hubby informed me he wanted a fresh pumpkin pie with the other stuff...know what I said? ha ha ha ha ha! The freshest he'll get is from the freezer....Mrs Smith. I am making my chili, and fried apples...and that is it. I'll be doing good to get all that going! If I am really feeling good I may try and make pumpkin bars...but we'll see!

Well the kids should be up soon, off I go!

Better

Felling better today....and actually yesterday I was a little better too. My Mom came over Saturday and helped pick up my house...It started out a bad day for me.. and when she got here all I did was cry...but then I started to feel a little better as I saw my house coming back from the dead. She even got my fall decorations down and started putting them up. What was supposed to be a day of celebration for her birthday...she gave to me. But we did celebrate her birthday that evening. The kids made their Nana a picture each and I put it in a nice picture frame and she really liked it. My hubby even found an icecream she had been looking for since August..so that was a surprise for her too! Then yesterday..(after missing 3 Sundays of church...due to my health issues) she called me and asked if I wanted to go for a ride and I said absolutly. I have been out of the house 1 other time since all of this has been going on..and it was with Tom to go to the grocery store and it was not a pleasant experience for either of us. Sunday with my Mommy was nice..I stayed in the car, she had my little cousin who is 3, so I sat with him while she ran in a couple stores and then we came back home. By then I was tired...that is terrible...but the fresh air and the warm sun felt great! I really feel today is a great day. I am feeling better everyday..and I give God ALL the PRAISE!!!!!

I posted a picture of my Grandma and I, it was taken 2 years ago this Christmas...she has been gone a little over a year now, and I have been thinking about her lately. She was my last living Grandparent...she was a special lady....my kids talk about her alot...they sleep with quilts she made them...and it just reminds me of her all the time. But I know she's with Jesus!

Well lets see..

Well lets see what has been going on lately!? Without going into too much detail, I have been at home for almost 2 weeks now..with something medical that is going on with me. I am emotionally and physically worn out... and some days actually depressed. I have been in contact with my Dr 3x's and they say to let it work itself out naturally..well my life if still going on and I don't have time for naturally..but I keep telling God, if this is how it's got to be, then give me the grace to get thru it. I know that surgery can eradicate what is going on..but I haven't wanted to go that route.... but I am making all kinds of promises now.... I was reading Job the past day or so, and it is wonderfully amazing to me that he never cursed God.... there are days when I am just so on edge emotionally, that I know God is seeing me thru. Anyway....enough about it...life goes on, and one day it will all be taken care of...it's just where I am today..but not tomorrow!

The kids, hubby and I are doing well...My Dad is healing nicely from his surgery and is now back to work... and tomorrow is my Mommy's birthday Although due to my minor problem, I haven't been able to shop for a gift... but everything will be great. The kiddo's are still sleeping, must be nice to sleep! For those of you who don't know.. I am a football fan and NASCAR fan.. and I am so happy to report that the Bears won their game last Sunday...I thought it would be another loss but yaa-hoo! Then I found out my driver #48 Jimmie is tied for 2cnd in points in NASCAR.... again I say yaa-hooo!!! So all in all a good weekend!

While I was sitting her my phone just rang and my Dr called and wants me to come in and see her in a couple of weeks to discuss what is going on. Oh happy Day...I know it is leading to surgery! ( I think for the most part I am willing!)

Well gotta go...kids are getting up now so no time to be on here! Until next time!

That long?!

Well I guess it has been awhile since my last post...that is if your coming back here looking for something interesting to read. That is not the case here! I am posting my 2 youngest children's pictures.. I posted my oldest one around his bday..so now they are all three on here.

We have been keeping busy though..with three kids, who wouldn't be. Hubby is working, and I am at home with those great lovable children! We have started back with school this year. (homeschool). They are in 2cnd, 1st and kindergarten. Let me tell you there is nothing like trying to do them all! (and one with autism to boot!) But I am sure that we will yet get a system out that works for all of us! (well that is what I pray every day!)

This past week my Daddi-o had neck surgery for his spinal cord and back. Not as severe as my Mom's was last year, but none the same, surgery. It was not a pleasant experience, and we will be speaking to the higher-ups over what happened. They over-dosed my Dad and about lost him, they had to give him some meds to counter-act the overdose, and after they brought him back, they finally called his Dr. but only after the fact. There were several other issues with the nurses, but needless to say they are very dissatisfied. My Mommy kept saying all she wanted to do was get out of there, and take him home to care for him herself. It's pretty sad that he had to call my Mommy to come and sit with him because he was scared of the nurses and their abilities. Well enough of that, it is still new and fresh and raw..so I might say something I shouldn't..so on I will go!

We had our annual town parade..they call it Harvest Fest. Vendors are set up around our town square and of course the parade. I won't go on and on about it either, as it was just ok...but the kids seemed to enjoy themselves and that is what matters...I liked the company and I will leave it at that.

It seems as though I am still getting ready for Christmas..I just ordered 4 things for hubby yesterday...but his bday is the month before, so who knows, he may get some of it for his bday. My mommy is finished with the grand kids..well she says she has one or two things left and then she's done! I have several on my list crossed off as well. That is a praise! The kids keep seeing magazines coming in the mail full of childrens toys and keep on changing their minds as to what they want! (I can't believe I am getting Christmas magazines already!)

Well that is pretty much it for here.....sounds exciting huh? I posted a picture of all of us too..whoo-whoo! Hopefully it won't be too long in between, but we have alot going on in the next few months! c-ya!
